Organization Overview
Hanwha Advanced Materials America is a subsidiary of the Hanwha Group. We offer an impressive array of ESS, xEV and other stationary and automotive materials for battery protection, lightweighting and thermal management, including materials for pack / rack and larger cases, housing, cabinets and enclosures. These materials are extremely lightweight, structurally and thermally robust, and offer freedom of design. Our materials folio includes: StrongLite (Glass Mat Thermoplastic), SuperLite (LWRT / Lightweight Reinforced Thermoplastic), BuffLite (EPP / expanded polyproylene), and other SMCs (Sheet Molding Composites). We have manufacturing sites in Opelika, Alabama, and near Austin, Texas. (Hanwha Group is also the parent company of Qcells, Hanwha Ocean and Hanwha Momentum and is one of the largest conglomerates in South Korea.)

We work with ESS System Integrators and Automotive OEMs and Tier 1s to help them reduce system weight, improve total cost of ownership, and enhance thermal stability of battery systems.
