Company Synopsis
At the Center for Manufacturing Growth & Electrification (CMGE), partnership is the point. We collaborate with employers in the battery, EV, and renewable energy sectors to strengthen the high-road economy—one built on fair wages, stability, and shared prosperity.

CMGE helps companies attract and retain talent through customized workforce programs that combine technical training, worker voice, and rigorous safety standards. Rooted in nearly a century of UAW expertise, our model prepares workers for long-term, high-quality careers in clean energy manufacturing while providing companies with reliable pipelines of skilled talent.

We offer comprehensive support for employers, including access to financing, site and permitting assistance, and turnkey on-the-job training and apprenticeship programs. Our customized 90-hour pre-employment curriculum covers climate science, green technologies, teamwork, and health and safety—paired with wraparound supports like stipends, childcare, and coaching to ensure success.

Safety and health are woven into every aspect of our programs, helping prevent injuries, fires, and other risks inherent to advanced manufacturing. Backed by UAW Region 6, CMGE unites workers, industry, and communities to drive America’s clean energy transition—creating good jobs, resilient companies, and a stronger, more sustainable economy.
