Professional Bio

Freeman Hall is the founder and CEO of B2U Storage Solutions, which repurposes EV batteries in grid-scale energy storage using the company’s patented EPS technology. Since launching B2U in 2019, B2U he has focused on deploying bankable, low risk, scalable energy storage with superior pricing.

Before founding B2U, Mr. Hall established Solar Electric Solutions in 2008, developing 100 MW of solar PV across 11 project sites in California. Previously, he had led a renewable investment strategy for Ted Turner’s Turner Enterprises, acquiring New Jersey based DT Solar in 2006. Mr. Hall joined the operating business, renamed Turner Renewable Energy, to help scale its growth. The company was sold to First Solar in 2007 at a significant multiple to the acquisition price.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Hall was an early employee and later Product Manager at Ecos Technologies, a cloud-based enterprise software provider of environmental, health, and safety information for large corporations. Prior to business school Mr. Hall was a consultant in Andersen Consulting’s Strategic Services practice.

Across energy, hardware, software, and strategy, Mr. Hall has built a track record of identifying emerging market opportunities, structuring growth platforms, and bringing practical innovation to scale.

He holds an MBA with distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Duke University.
