Joe LoGrasso

Joe LoGrasso has 35 years leading planning and development of advanced propulsion and battery systems. He founded JL Energy Advisors LLC, a battery and electrification consulting and advisory firm, in 2024. Joe is an Expert in Residence at Centrepolis Accelerator and Program Director for the project he is discussing today.

Joe was VP-Battery Systems & Strategy at the power sports leader, Polaris for 3 years, Head of Battery Systems at Stellantis for 5 years leading the development and launch of numerous x-EV batteries and was also Director at XALT Energy leading battery engineering for heavy duty and marine markets. He spent 30 years at GM and was a critical leader in the development of battery technology for the Chevy Volt, and many other xEV programs. His experience in all aspects of batteries including packs, cells, performance, design, safety, product strategy, controls, and testing have positioned him well to lead the development of exciting, safe, and reliable products. He has also led battery supply strategy for many e-mobility applications. Joe has an MS in Technology Management from RPI and an MS in Electrical Systems from Oakland University. He was on the USABC Management Committee and is on multiple industry & advisory boards as a strong electrification advocate. Joe co-leads the NAATBatt International battery safety committee and serves as former Chairman on the Executive Board there.
