NewGenium produces cathode active material’s (CAM) from domestic brines using a proprietary direct lithium extraction (DLE) process that simplifies and lowers cost of a U.S. domestic brine-to-lithium battery supply chain.
The lithium-ion battery cathode manufacturing supply chain is dominated by China. While U.S. companies are scaling direct lithium extraction (DLE) technologies to produce lithium chemicals from domestic brines; downstream cathode materials manufacturing is lacking. NewGenium’s DLE technology enable more direct production of cathode active material (CAM) from domestic brines. Our simplified process lowers overall costs for the brine to battery supply chain enabling the U.S. to establish a robust, cost-competitive domestic lithium-ion battery supply chain.
