Bruce Willner

Bruce Willner, co-founder and CEO of CarbonDots, has over two decades of technical and managerial expertise in the development of nanotechnology, semiconductor materials and photonic devices. As the former Chief Science Officer at Graphene Frontiers, he led a team of scientists and engineers in process and product development of chemical and biological sensors with carbon nanomaterials. Previously, he developed semiconductor materials and device technology including carbon nanotubes, surface emitting lasers, chemical vapor deposition systems. He received B.S. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from Cornell University, and a M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Beyond his professional pursuits, he co-founded and co-chairs the Philadelphia Maker Faire.
