Chad Shaffer

Chad Shaffer is a Director at Siemens Digital Enterprise and helps organizations accelerate digital transformation journeys through the application of digitalization, automation, and electrification technologies. He works with industrial leaders to leverage digital threads, digital twins, simulation, and smart manufacturing strategies that connect the virtual and physical worlds, enabling better business decisions, improved operational performance, and faster innovation. Recognized as a thought leader bringing Information Technology and Operational Technology together, Chad develops functional specifications and industrial ecosystems bringing together machine & tool builders and manufacturing operators into data-driven enterprise environments. He leads cross-functional teams responsible for developing greenfield, brownfield, and complex capital projects. A longtime advocate for the battery industry, Chad previously served as Siemens' representative on the NAATBatt Board of Directors. Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, a Finance Certificate from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, and a Smart Manufacturing Certificate from MIT.
