Mark Matthews has served as Chief Technology Officer and President, Specialty Global, since August 2025, after serving as Acting CTO beginning in March 2025. He joined EnerSys in 2016 and has held senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President, Specialty Global, Vice President of EnerSys Advanced Systems, and Senior Director of Sales and Marketing.
With more than 30 years of experience in energy storage and lithium battery technology, Mark brings deep expertise in lithium-ion chemistry, energy systems design, and commercialization. As CTO, he leads EnerSys’ Lithium-Ion Center of Excellence and advances the company’s lithium strategy across battery energy storage, aerospace, and defense applications.
