Sudeshna Mohanty

Sudeshna Mohanty is a Senior Associate on the Carbon-Free Transportation team at RMI (formerly Rocky Mountain Institute). She is a core member of RMI’s Battery Circular Economy Initiative (BCEI), which aims to advance circular EV battery supply chains that can meet growing demand in a responsible, resilient, and efficient way. Sudeshna’s work focuses on translating data-driven insights and multi-stakeholder input into actionable policy and market strategies to enable a circular battery economy. She has led analytical efforts to assess supply chain gaps, evaluate circular solutions, and quantify their economic, environmental, and social impacts.

Sudeshna brings a strong technical foundation from her previous role as a Mechanical Systems Engineer at Cummins. She holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
