Company Synopsis
ABS is a team of experienced?;span class="il";battery;/span;?systems experts with decades of experience in designing, developing and manufacturing advanced?;span class="il";battery;/span;?systems for the transportation industry. Collectively, we helped launched some of industry?s most well known programs with OEM customers like General Motors, Fiat Chrysler, BMW, Daimler-Mercedes and others.
With an established manufacturing footprint in Ohio, and engineering center in Michigan with state-of-the art testing facilities, ABS has assembled a team on dedicated and experienced engineers with deep understanding of high voltage, automotive-grade?;span class="il";battery;/span;?systems from concept development, testing and validation to high volume production.
ABS was founded to fill a gap in the?;span class="il";battery;/span;?pack industry, to supply highly engineered and often customized?;span class="il";solutions;/span;?for lower-volume vehicle applications than the traditional automotive projects. These may include vehicles such as medium and heavy-duty trucks, delivery trucks, buses, industrial equipment and forklifts, cranes, mining, construction and agricultural equipment. Absence of systems suppliers for medium and low volume OEM?s has created a void, as large?;span class="il";battery;/span;?companies tend to align with major high-volume EV automotive OEM?s with little interest in ?small? projects.
Converting these vehicles to EV?s requires a highly engineered?;span class="il";solution;/span;?for their applications, but is currently being fulfilled only by ?off-the-shelf? products that are neither customized nor specific for these applications making them more costly and less efficient. Development of these complex systems requires in-depth knowledge of all aspects of?;span class="il";battery;/span;?technology, including materials, chemistry, automotive culture, discipline & experience which ABS brings.
